Nicolas Cage has been vocal about artificial intelligence in Hollywood, saying he’s unsure about its future.
In a new interview, Cage expressed his concerns about AI after a publicist interrupted the conversation to remind him that he had a scan scheduled.
“After this I have to go get scanned for the show and then also for the movie after the show. That’s two scans in one day!” Cage said in an interview. New Yorker.
Cage will be getting scanned for the upcoming live-action Spider-Man Noir series, and joked about the digitization process.
“Well, they’re going to have to put me in a computer and change my eye color to match, which I don’t know,” he said. “They’re going to steal my body and do whatever they want with it through a digital AI…. Oh, I hope it’s not an AI. I’m scared of that. I’ve been pretty vocal about it.”
Cage continues, “And it makes me wonder: Where does the artist’s truth end up? Is it replaced? Is it transformed? Where is the heartbeat? I mean, what are they going to do to my body and my face when I’m dead? I don’t want anything to be done!”
In the same interview, Cage said: pig This is a must-see movie for anyone who has never seen any of his previous films.
pig is a 2021 drama directed and written by Michael Sarnoski. Cage stars as a truffle hunter living in Oregon who must return to Portland to search for his beloved pig after it is kidnapped.
“I think people will get something out of this film because tragedy happens to everyone at some point, it’s just a matter of when,” he said. “To me, the film is like a folk song. It’s a very quiet, gentle film, the opposite of the ‘They think I’m crazy’ that’s how the conversation starts.”
