Get ready, Georgia Tech fans, as Georgia Tech is ready to dominate the ACC Network all day tomorrow.
Many of Tech’s most memorable games throughout the 2023-24 academic year will be rebroadcast on ACCN during Yellow Jackets Takeover Day, with highlights including thrilling football wins against No. 17 North Carolina (5 a.m.), UCF in the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl (10 a.m.) and No. 17 Miami (7 p.m.).
Georgia Tech’s programming also includes wins against nationally ranked opponents in both men’s basketball (3 p.m. vs. North Carolina, 10 p.m. vs. Mississippi State) and volleyball (8 a.m. vs. Louisville, 1 p.m. vs. Florida), a baseball sweep of eventual College World Series participants North Carolina State (12 a.m.), a softball win against Virginia Tech in the ACC Tournament (3 a.m.) and a women’s basketball overtime win against Miami (5 p.m.).
While it’s fun to look at some of Georgia Tech’s greatest moments from the past year, it’s also a chance to see what the future holds for Georgia Tech sports.
It’s been a great first year for Brent Key and the Georgia Tech football organization. Key led the Yellow Jackets to their first bowl victory since 2016, with major upsets over Miami and North Carolina. The Yellow Jackets return many members from last year’s team and are looking to win a championship.
Damon Stoudemire has shown this team’s potential with wins over North Carolina, Duke and Mississippi State. He’s brought in some of the top freshmen in the ACC, plus some talent from the transfer portal. It’s going to be an exciting season for Stoudemire and Georgia Tech basketball.
Last year was a memorable one for Georgia Tech’s athletics department, and the year ahead may even surpass it.
