Monroe Township-based Ocean Power Technologies has partnered with Unique Group, a global innovator in undersea technology and engineering headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, to deploy the WAM-V unmanned surface vehicle in the Middle East.
Partnering with Unique Group could help OPT increase revenue.
The combination of OPT’s commercial fleet of vehicles with Unique’s leading position in the UAE’s offshore energy industry will accelerate the adoption of subsea vehicles in the region, while Unique Group’s knowledge of the local industry and proven track record in the region will enable maintenance and servicing to be carried out more efficiently.
