It’s fair to say that Leset is the perfect travel wardrobe collection. Founded in 2019 by Lili Chemla, the brand has a modular approach with a system of mix-and-match sets, refined basics, and standout seasonal pieces. Essentially, every piece you toss in your carry-on combines versatility, comfort, and elegance for day and night.
With that spirit in mind, we sat down with Kemra to get to grips with her travel dos and don’ts, from her favorite Reset outfit for flights to the Paris hotel she calls home.
Lili Chemla Travel Information:
The airlines I use most often are: Delta Airlines and Air France
My favorite seat on the plane is: Windows – I love watching the sunrise and sunset.
My favourite drink on an airplane is Too much water, I don’t want it to dry out and get dehydrated during the flight.
My favourite airports/terminals are: Charles de Gaulle Terminal 1. All the best pre-flight shopping with taxes already included.
The moment I got on the plane,I take my shoes off, put on some comfy socks, apply some skin care products, put on some headphones and listen to some music.
Here’s the uniform I usually wear when traveling: The Lauren set by Leset is stylish yet incredibly comfortable. It’s my go-to, especially when I fly from NYC (my home) to LA (my design office) every month. It’s super comfortable yet office-friendly.
My carry-on luggage is as follows:Laptop, external charger, (in-flight) skincare routine, Sudoku book, lifesaver, headphones.
Here are the items I take with me everywhere: Whether traveling for business or leisure, these items are always included in your suitcase.
1. An oversized button-down from My Yoko that doubles as both a cover-up and layering piece.
2. The Margo Tee comes in three different sizes and is totally worth it.
3. I often wear these Louis sock boots when I fly. They are so comfortable I get compliments on them, lightweight and very compact, making them the perfect travel companion.
My flight soundtrack is: All songs from Dijon.
What I like most about flying is Being on a plane is very calming. If my job allows, I try not to use Wi-Fi and my computer. I really try to switch it off.
The worst thing about being on a plane isHe is waiting. I have a knack for arriving at the airport at the perfect time, but you never know when an unexpected delay might occur. Once I get to the airport, my mind is already on my next destination.
My only flying hack is: If you’re traveling with your partner, buy window and aisle seats unless the flight is full, so no one wants the middle seat and all three of you can relax.
The moment I landed I: I jump up and try to get off the plane as quickly as possible because when it comes time to land, I end up being the most impatient person in the world.
As soon as I check into my hotel room, I do the following: Unpack your bags, prepare your skincare routine, and do everything you can to make yourself feel at home.
My favourite hotel in the world is: Le Meurice in Paris. Perfect location, beautiful rooms, amazing food and service. Everything is perfect.
My favourite city in the world is: Paris. I’m of French descent and my family had an apartment there when I was growing up. I feel like I’m at home when I go there. I can wander the streets for hours and the vintage shops are unmatched. It’s my favorite place to find inspiration for Leset.
The concierge knows that I prefer: Hidden gems. I want to go to places where you can really feel the city, places where the locals go.
My favorite hotel memories are: The first time my parents left me and my two sisters in a hotel room, they went out to dinner while we raided the minibar and ordered copious amounts of room service.
Beating jet lagy: On the first day you will fight fatigue. If you can get through the first day you will be set for the rest of the trip.
My biggest travel adviceAlways pack light. The key is to choose items that are versatile. You never know what adventure will present itself and it’s always easier to just pack a carry-on.
