The United States is a big country, and even if you’ve done a fair bit of traveling around the country, there’s a good chance you still haven’t seen much of it. So Reddit user u/Ekaj__ asked, “What’s the coziest town in America you’ve ever visited?” Here are some small cities and quaint towns that Reddit users (and some members of the BuzzFeed Community) recommend you visit at least once in your lifetime.

“Ouray, Colorado is a beautiful place tucked away in a rock canyon. I stayed at a lovely little inn with a private hot spring. It was very cozy.”

“Cumberland Island in Georgia is like another world. It’s full of lush, moss-covered oak forests and pristine beaches. The scenery is absolutely stunning.”

“Hermann, Missouri. I’m a Missouri native and Hermann is one of my favorite cozy places to spend the weekend. It’s a German town in the heart of Missouri’s wine country, rich in history and filled with great wineries, cute cottages and quaint hotels. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance of downtown, and you can take the trolley to get to the wineries.”
