Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel, along with the America’s Got Talent audience, set a world record on Tuesday’s NBC show.
Season 19’s auditions concluded with Nick Manning from Queensland, Australia attempting to break the Guinness World Record-holder record for “Most pants put on in 30 seconds.”
An official judge from Guinness World Records, Michael, was in attendance, but Nick was unable to break the record of 23.
“Sorry, Nick, you didn’t break the world record, but now you have an opportunity to try for a new world record, right?” said show host Terry Crews, 55.
“Exactly,” Nick said, revealing that he might break the record for the most people gathered in one place wearing underwear over their heads.

“Why?” asked Simon, 64.
Terry told the audience that there was a pair of underwear under each seat and encouraged them to put them on their heads to break the record.
Howie, Heidi and Sofia also joined in the attempt, but Simon hesitated when the crowd chanted “Simon, put it on!”
Simon was sure the underwear was new and clean, so he and the other judges put it on their heads.
The Rod Stewart hit “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” played and the crowd danced with their underwear on their heads for the one minute it took to break the record.
The judges revealed that the previous record was 355 people, but 1,206 people broke the record by wearing underwear on their heads.
The audience and judges were pretty excited about breaking the record, but when it came time for the judges to give their feedback, Nick couldn’t get enough of it.
Sophia, 52, admitted she personally had no interest in attempting the world record, while Simon noted that Nick failed on his first try and wondered aloud how hard it would be to break the record a second time.
Heidi, 51, acknowledged that the act was unique but decided it wasn’t a talent.
All four judges voted against Nick, and he left the stage.
“Oh my god what has happened to this show?” Simon joked, still wearing underwear on his head.
There was no Golden Buzzer moment in the two-hour episode because the golden buzzer had already been awarded to a contestant.
Brooke Bailey, a 19-year-old from Los Angeles, stood out during the episode with her cover of Aretha Franklin’s “Ain’t No Way.”
She gave an outstanding audition, receiving four yes votes from the judges and advancing.
The episode kicked off with the Xpogo stunt team from Colorado showing off some amazing tricks and jumps on their pogo sticks.
It received four votes in favor from the judges.
Russia’s Prilepin Quartet, dressed in grey suits, dazzled with their acrobatic and strength-training routine, and all four judges voted in their favor.
Japan’s Black Peppers also garnered international brilliance in gymnastics, incorporating comedic elements into his pommel horse routine, which earned him four yes votes from the judges.
Haley Viloria’s brilliant performance earned her praise from all three judges, but Howie was the only one who was unimpressed.
Kelsey Jane, a 33-year-old dentist from Las Vegas, wowed the crowd with her aerial routines and received four yes votes.
Journey, a 9-year-old singer from New Jersey, captivated the judges and audience with her rendition of Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?”, receiving four yes votes.
Cuba’s Alejandro Licea Peron performed a thrilling balancing act and advanced with four yes votes.
Jonathan Barnes cast Heidi and Sophia in his comedy and magic show, which received four yes votes.
Corky Miller, a 63-year-old animal trainer from Tennessee, captivated the judges and audience with his stand-up routine, garnering four votes in favor and advancing to the next stage.
Terry revealed at the end of the episode that a new ‘live’ golden buzzer will be introduced when the show returns.
NBC will broadcast the 2024 Olympics from Paris, altering the network’s regular programming.
The episode also featured Olympians Sarah Hughes and Kelly Chen, who will represent the U.S. Beach Volleyball Team at the Paris Olympics.
