AlbaniaAlbania’s travel industry is booming thanks to a new visa-free policy for nationals of 84 countries, including the UAE, Brazil, and the UK. The initiative aims to attract more global tourists to Albania’s rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and vibrant cities. Located on the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe, Albania boasts a coastline along the Adriatic and Ionian seas and is famous for its castles and archaeological sites. International visitors to the country are expected to surge from 7.5 million in 2022 to 10.1 million in 2023, driving economic growth of around 5%. While Europe remains the largest source of tourists, visitor numbers from the “East Asia and Pacific” region increased significantly by 172%.
