LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) — The UNLV men’s soccer team will get its first road test of the season when it travels to Columbus, Ohio to take on Dayton and No. 20 Ohio State as part of OSU’s Wolstein Classic at Jesse Owens Memorial Hall. The Rebels take on the Flyers on Thursday at 3 PM PST/6 PM EST before welcoming the Buckeyes on Sunday at 4 PM PST/7 PM EST.
The Rebels (1-0), who beat Tulsa in their season opener, will go head-to-head with the Flyers (1-1), who came off a win over Jacksonville last week. Last season, Dayton won the Atlantic 10 championship and earned an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Two days later, the Scarlet and Gray will face an unbeaten Buckeyes (1-0-1) team that is ranked in the United Soccer Coaches National Top 25 for the first time this season and is coming off a strong run at Ohio State, which reached the semifinals of the 2023 Big Ten Tournament.
