If you’re heading out to travel or returning to work, be aware of some road construction projects this week that may affect traffic flow.
More than 50 new lane, ramp and road closures are scheduled to begin between Sunday, July 14 and Saturday, July 20, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
Motorists should be aware that traffic congestion may occur on highways such as the I-196 Business Loop in Ottawa County, US 131 in Kalamazoo County and I-75 in Wayne and Oakland counties, especially during peak hours.
Below is an overview of eight road closures to watch out for this week: All projects are weather dependent, and state officials remind motorists to slow down in work zones and obey posted signs.
A complete list of road projects is available on MDOT’s online maps and construction lists.
