EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – El Paso International Airport is sharing travel tips to help those traveling for Independence Day.
“More than 31,000 people are expected to travel through the El Paso Airport this holiday weekend,” reads a press release sent by the City of El Paso. “To assist those traveling this holiday weekend, El Paso International Airport would like to remind passengers to check with their airline for the latest travel information.”
Here are some additional travel tips for a “pleasant” experience:
Arrive early: Passengers are strongly advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure. Due to the volume of travellers, waiting times may be longer for check-in and security checks, especially for early morning flights. The security checkpoint is open from 4am.
Be ready : Review current identification requirements and screening procedures for traveling with liquids, gels, and aerosols by visiting TSA.gov or contacting them directly by tweeting @AskTSA. Sign up for TSA PreCheck to expedite the screening process.
