Emburse has introduced enterprise-grade online tools for booking flights, rail, hotels and ground transportation.
The company announced in a press release on Monday (July 22) that the new Emburse Book will be integrated with Emburse Expense, Tripbam and Emburse Go, its travel and expense (T&E) solutions for mid-sized businesses, large enterprises and multinational corporations.
“We clearly recognize that an organization of this size needs to future-proof their entire T&E technology suite,” Emburse CEO Marne Martin said in the release. “We’re pleased to be able to address that need with Emburse Book and our next-generation expense and travel management solution.”
According to the release, the Emburse Book integration will bring fully itemized travel itineraries into users’ Emburse expense and travel management solutions.
According to the release, the integration is aimed at streamlining expense processes for both travel and finance teams and ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Embers also announced on Monday that it is reimagining Embers Chrome River Expenses, its expense management solution for mid- to large-sized businesses, to incorporate more automation and artificial intelligence (AI), missed expense suggestions, next-generation optical character recognition (OCR), automatic expense itemization, and a business rules engine to automatically categorize expenses.
The company also announced that it will integrate Tripbam’s solutions, which it acquired in July 2023, under the Emburse brand, with Tripbam’s travel reshopping solution being renamed Emburse Reshop, and its audit and benchmarking solution being renamed Emburse Audit and Emburse Benchmark, respectively.
“Emburse is a recognized innovation leader in enterprise expense management and post-booking travel management solutions,” Martin said in the release. “By delivering the same level of innovation throughout the entire business travel lifecycle, we will help organizations relieve the frustration of their current travel and expense management processes.”
Companies are seeking innovative solutions to gain insight into employee spending and ensure policy compliance, Adriana Carpenter, chief financial officer at Embers, said in an interview with PYMNTS published in August 2023.
“You have to leverage technology,” Carpenter said. “That’s why technology exists today, and it’s not just SaaS. [Software-as-a-Service] Technology. There are a variety of different types of technology we want to leverage to streamline financial processes and provide real-time visibility into employee spending.”
