ChristianaCare has been recognized as one of the Best Employers for Women in America for 2024. This is the first time the company has received this prestigious recognition.
In a survey of 150,000 women working at companies with 1,000 or more employees in the United States, ChristianaCare ranked 150th out of 600 employers evaluated.

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey employees on a variety of aspects, including work environment, growth opportunities, compensation, diversity, parental leave, flexible work schedules and family support.

ChristianaCare continues to foster a strong, inclusive and diverse culture for women both within the company and externally by investing in professional development through its Women’s Employee Network (WEN) and offering employees a comprehensive benefits package that includes a variety of flexible leave options, including at least 12 weeks of paid parental leave.

This recognition by Forbes follows other awards that have been nationally recognized for ChristianaCare’s commitment to an inclusive workplace: Earlier this year, Forbes ranked ChristianaCare as one of the most diverse employers in the United States.
Additionally, Forbes has ranked ChristianaCare as the top healthcare employer for veterans in the U.S. ChristianaCare’s Wilmington Hospital and Christiana Hospital have been named leaders in LGBTQIA+ healthcare equality since 2012.
