Metairie business damaged after car crashes into building
SCARY MOMENTS. I AM RIGHT OUTSIDE OF THE QUICK NOTARY OFFICE ON VETERAN BOULEVARD IN METAIRIE. AS YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME, IT’S BEEN A LONG ROAD TO RECOVERY AFTER A CAR CRASHED INTO A BUILDING THIS MORNING. WATCH THIS EXCLUSIVE SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE FROM JUST BEFORE 9 AM YOU CAN SEE A WOMAN DROP INTO A PARKING SPOT, AND INSTEAD OF STEPPING ON THE BRAKE, SHE STEPS ON THE GAS, CRASHING INTO A BUILDING. OKAY, AND NOW WE CAN PUT IT BACK TOGETHER. YOU KNOW, AND THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED. YOU KNOW, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. YOU CALL IT AN ACCIDENT. SO THIS IS WHAT’S LEFT FROM THE QUICK NOTARY ON WEST WILLIAM DAVID PARKWAY AND VETERAN, THE GOOD NEWS. THE OWNER SAYS THE BUSINESS HAS NOT OPENED FOR THE DAY AND NO ONE WAS HURT. THE PEOPLE NEXT DOOR WERE GETTING THEIR NAILS DONE. SAYS THEY HEARD A LARGE SOUND AND A FEW MINUTES LATER, THE POLICE CAME. THE OWNER SAYS THEY REALIZE THIS COULD BE MORE TRAGIC, BUT FEEL GRATEFUL. IT’S FUN. YOU KNOW, UH, THE WORST FEELING I HAVE IS FOR THE GIRL WHO DID IT. SHE WAS, LIKE I SAID, DISTURBED.
