Meghan Markle spent time with friends during a star-studded business meeting in the Hamptons this week.
On Friday, July 26, the Duchess of Sussex’s longtime pal, makeup mogul Bobbi Brown, shared a series of Instagram posts detailing her experience at the G9 Ventures Summer Summit — a one-day business summit hosted by power broker Amy Griffin.
The event itself featured some big names, including Naomi Watts, Reese Witherspoon, Mariska Hargitay and Julianne Hough, as well as speeches from business owners and representatives from brands like Spanx, Bumble, Flow, Hello Sunshine, Supergoop and more, according to Instagram Stories posts shared by those in attendance.
Meghan’s appearance at the business event comes amid plans to launch her own brand, American Riviera Orchard. A source exclusively tells PEOPLE that the lifestyle brand — named after Santa Barbara, the California city where Meghan lives with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — “will reflect all the things she loves — family, cooking, entertaining and home decor.”
During Friday’s summit, Meghan, 42, posed for photos with Brown, 67, and friend and designer Misha Nonoo. In several of the photos taken by Brown, Meghan was seen smiling alongside her friends while wearing chic summer outfits.
Meghan’s look consisted of a St. Agni Linen Helmet Vest and Overlapping Waist Pants, jewelry from Cartier and Ariel Gordon, and a pair of Santa Barbara Frame sunglasses by Heidi Merrick.
“So many moments. Thank you @g9_ventures for bringing all these amazing people together,” Brown wrote in the caption of her Instagram photo. “And to your beautiful husband John who sat through the entire conference with a smile. Kudos to my team @jonesroadbeauty @skin.by.chey @charl0ttejayne you are all rock stars.”
Meghan and the two women have been friends for a long time. The Duchess of Sussex has worn several of Nonoo’s designs in previous years, and Nonoo attended her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. Brown, the beauty guru, has previously celebrated Meghan’s birthday on Instagram and even collaborated with her on several beauty-focused social media posts.

Meghan’s latest outing follows several outings over the past few months — including lunch with Kimberly Williams-Paisley, a night out with Prince Harry at the ESPYs, and a celebration of their daughter, Princess Lilibet’s, third birthday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the ESPYs at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on July 11. Meghan’s close friend, tennis legend Serena Williams, hosted the event. “Well, it’s actually rare that I get to be in the same room as actual royals, and tonight is no exception,” Williams said during the show. “Prince Harry and Meghan are here. Let’s honor them.”
“But please, Harry and Meghan, try not to breathe too much tonight,” Williams joked. “Because this is my night, and I don’t want to be overshadowed by accusations that you two are breathing in too much oxygen, okay?”
Prince Harry received the Pat Tillman Award for Service at the ceremony. In his speech, he thanked the Pat Tillman Foundation (founded by Pat Tillman’s widow, Marie Tillman Shelton) and paid tribute to Tillman’s mother, Mary Tillman — who had previously criticized ESPN’s choice to give him the award.
“In fact, I stand here not as Prince Harry, recipient of the Pat Tillman Award, but as a spokesperson on behalf of the Invictus Games Foundation and the thousands of veterans and military personnel from more than 20 countries who have made the Invictus Games a reality,” Harry said.

“This award belongs to them, not me,” added the Duke of Sussex.
“That said, it’s important to me to highlight our incredible allies, athletes and their families for their accomplishments, spirit and courage at every opportunity, but especially on nights like this, in front of people like you,” he continued. “Moments like these help us reach those who need Invictus most and reduce the more than 20 veteran suicides each day in this country alone.”
