The American Association of State Police has launched its 2024 America’s Best Looking Cruiser contest. NCSHP will again be represented this year with special photo submissions highlighting the return of the iconic Ford Mustang in our vehicle fleet. The contest begins July 15th and ends July 29th at 12pm.
This year’s submitted photo was taken in front of the famous Wolfpack Turf statue on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, and shows a State Highway Patrol Ford Mustang illuminated by the backlight of the patrol’s Bell 429 helicopter hovering overhead.
The image pays tribute to NCSU’s athletic programs, which have enjoyed stellar results in the 2023-2024 season across numerous sports. These accomplishments include a College World Series appearance, nine championships in football, Final Four appearances in men’s and women’s basketball, three consecutive national titles in women’s cross country, an ACC men’s swimming championship and an ACC gymnastics championship.
The Most Beautiful Cruiser contest accepts photo submissions from state highway patrols and state police across the nation. The top 13 cruiser photos will be featured in the 2025 calendar. Proceeds from the calendar sales will benefit the American State Police Association Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to dependents of state police members.
