WICHITA COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — A man was taken into custody by the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office after officers surrounded a heating and air conditioning business owned by a man wanted by police in Wichita Falls.
Deputies with the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a high priority welfare check in the 1700 block of FM 367 just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Hennan Heating and Air Conditioning.
The business owner, John Hennan, is currently wanted on an arrest warrant for theft of more than $2,500 but under $30,000 by false pretenses, fraud or confidence game, according to Wichita Falls Police Department Sergeant Charlie Eipper.
Hennan has been arrested several times for knowingly and intentionally taking victims’ money after promising heating and air conditioning services and never performing the agreed work.
On Wednesday morning, July 10, Eipper released information about the case against Hennan and asked for the public’s help in finding him.
WCSO deputies surrounded Hennan’s business on FM 367 outside the city limits of Iowa Park in Wichita County, and a man who was inside was taken outside for medical treatment.
It is not yet known whether the subject of the arrest is Hennan.
