Until tonight : An isolated storm is possible tonight. We are also watching storms in southwest Virginia that are heading in that general direction, but they are expected to fizzle out as they approach and arrive late if they do. Lows will range from 70 to 80 degrees. DC could be close to a daily record warm low of 83 degrees, which is just one of the warmest in the city overall. If that record is not broken, this could still be the second morning with lows over 80 degrees this year.

Tomorrow (Saturday): The weekend is expected to start off similar to Friday. High humidity will mix with warm afternoon temperatures to make it feel like 100 to 105 degrees for much of the midday and afternoon, with new heat alerts possible. Highs are expected to reach the mid to upper 90s again. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the day, some of which could be strong, but it doesn’t seem to be widespread at this point. Winds are expected to be out of the west and southwest at around 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday: It should be a bit cooler behind the weak cold front. Heat and humidity will drop a bit from Saturday, but highs are still expected to reach 32 to 35 degrees. It should be partly to mostly sunny and most likely dry throughout the day.
