The FBI has revealed that a man who plotted to assassinate President Donald Trump had been searching for members of the royal family in the days leading up to the attack.
Suspect Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, shot and killed the former president at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
His electronic devices were subsequently seized and it was revealed that he had Googled several prominent people, including FBI Director Christopher Wray, in the lead up to the incident.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have ended a 64-year-old royal tradition by giving their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibeth, new surnames.
The change was reflected in a new version of the website updated this week, which now lists the children’s surname as Sussex, rather than Mountbatten-Windsor.
“This reflects the fact that for the first time since the King’s coronation the family will have the same surname,” the source said. Times.
This ends a 64-year tradition introduced by Queen Elizabeth II under which her and Prince Philip’s male descendants have inherited the surname.
