Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of the social media company formerly known as Twitter, the world’s richest man and a Trump supporter, came under fire on Saturday after sharing a video on his platform of an animated Donald Trump murdering Joe Biden.
Over the weekend, Musk shared what he called “the best AI video ever” on his platform, which is now called X.
The video shows Trump, dressed as “Neo” from The Matrix, stopping a bullet in mid-air, then fighting an AI-generated “agent” made to look like Joe Biden. Trump then kicks Biden to the ground, jumps into the president’s body and explodes. Trump Neo then stands there showing off his muscles.

Multimedia journalist David Leavitt took note of the development, writing, “Elon Musk Shares AI Video of Donald Trump Murdering Joe Biden in Plagiarized Scene from The Matrix.” In another post, Leavitt tagged the US Secret Service and asked, “Why are they releasing a video of Donald Trump murdering Joe Biden?”
Derrick Johnson, president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), called on Musk to remove the video, citing the recent assassination attempt on the former president.
“Just a week after the political assassination attempt, [Musk] “President Biden posted an AI video of himself shooting President Donald Trump,” Johnson wrote. “This is horrible. This is exactly the kind of content a platform like Elon should be moderating. It only incites violence and division. Elon, take it down.”
@matpolloy said:The hypocrisy of conservatives is so ridiculous that they say we are inciting violence.”
“Elon is an immigrant who is anti-immigrant,” he added. “He’s anti-transgender because he has a daughter who is transgender. He’s a mean baby.”
