On July 23, 2024, the eighth episode of season 19 of “America’s Got Talent” aired, announcing the final audition group and the new Golden Buzzer. Terry Crews Welcome return of judges Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandeland Sofia Vergarawhich featured performances from this diverse group as well as some memorable artists who weren’t able to move forward.
But who were the best artists from this episode? And who made it through who shouldn’t have? Below, we rank the 11 acts who made it from worst to best. Do any of Tuesday’s artists have what it takes to win $1 million this year?

Season 19 Episode 8 Rankings:
11. Haley Viloria: The most important thing about a reality TV contestant is to be memorable. Personality wise, she gets an A+. But her performance was so-so. We’ve seen this trick before in past seasons. I agree with Howie, but I like that she’s now on a mission to charm Mr. Mandel.
10. Black pepper: The good news is that he was impressive and unique. On the flip side, this was definitely the worst performance of the night. Social media was very divided on this one, but Simon was the most surprised to see the other performers. It’s also a good reason to watch “Aliens” this week. I’m looking forward to seeing them in the live rounds to see what else they have in store.
9. Kelsey Jane: In terms of memorability, this audition wasn’t a huge success. Where she outdid her direct competitors in this episode was in her presentation and song selection. She clearly understands that this is a giant puzzle and everything needs to fit perfectly. Again, we’ve seen tricks like this before, so it remains to be seen how far she’ll go if she makes it to the final round.
8. Journey: The award for the most adorable performance of the night goes to Journey, who was obviously nervous, but the nervousness disappeared once he started singing. I’m not a fan of the original songs, but this one was good. He’s going to be a great singer when he gets older. John Legend What song next?
7. Prilepin Quartet: This performance is a perfect example of a diamond in the rough. Their talent is undeniable and I was honestly blown away. What this performance needs to improve on is not the talent itself, but the presentation. First, they need to wear more comfortable clothes as their costumes felt like a cross between “Borat” and “The Wonders”. Second, they need to choose more exciting music. Elton John Ballard is perfect for this one. Other than that I was impressed.
6. Brooke Bailey: Brooke showed no signs of nervousness. Aretha Franklin Classic. And more importantly, she’s super likable and Jordin Sparks meet Etta JamesShe may be a singer who can’t be beat.

5. Corky Miller: This stand-up comedian was the biggest surprise of the night for me. I also loved that she’s an animal rights activist. Honestly, her material would have been perfect for a sitcom. NBC Are you listening? Her likability will be a huge advantage in this competition.
4. Jonathan Burns: This audition was perfect for me. The judges’ participation and comedy were A+. The trick itself was very original. I was blown away by this performance…even though Simon didn’t approve.
3. Alejandro Licea Peron: I was surprised by this audition. Alejandro said he was nervous, but he didn’t show any nervousness at all. This may be the biggest dark horse of the season. I can’t wait to see what he does next.
2. Xpogo Stunt Team: This group opened the night not only trying to save the sport of pogo sticking, but also making it look cool. I expected a disaster, but it was the most satisfying audition of the night for the lesson that you should never judge someone by their appearance. I could watch their performance all day. I truly hope they make it to the live rounds and perform even riskier tricks next time.
1. Air Footworks: Received instruction Kenichi EbinaThe AGT winner may have an edge over the competition. This performance was perfect. I could watch this performance all day. It’s clear that they have more in store and they love to entertain. They may be the top favorites to win the entire season.
