The World Travel Awards are set to hold their first-ever Philippine awards ceremony in Manila, highlighting the country’s significant growth in tourism and infrastructure investments.
World Travel Awards The World Tennis Association (WTA) has announced plans to host the ceremony in the Philippines for the first time. The capital city of Manila will host travel and tourism representatives for the red carpet WTA Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony 2024 on September 3. The red carpet reception will be held at the City of Dreams Luxury Resort.
The WTA’s debut reflects a booming travel and tourism economy in the Philippines, with international visitor numbers up 15 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2024, reflecting heavy investments in tourism infrastructure and improved land, sea and air connectivity.
The vibrant metropolis of Manila is a global hub for both business and leisure travelers and a platform to experience Philippine culture, history, shopping and nightlife. Visitors can experience everything from exploring the ancient walled city of Intramuros to discovering artisan markets and Manila’s vibrant art scene.
City of Dreams Luxury Resort consists of three hotels: Nüwa Manila, Nobu Hotel and Hyatt Regency Manila City of Dreams. The iconic egg-shaped dome houses luxurious VIP areas and exclusive gaming areas. The leisure destination is renowned for its unique restaurants, bars and upscale shopping. The resort is also home to Dreamplay, the world’s first family entertainment centre inspired by DreamWorks.

Other Regional Ceremonies on the WTA Grand Tour 2024 include Berlin (Germany), Dubai (UAE), St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Diani Beach (Kenya). The winners of these Regional Ceremonies will progress to the Grand Final in Madeira (Portugal) at the end of the year, where the prestigious World Division winner will be announced.
