The Air Force Chief of Staff’s visit to Baykar Technology aimed to examine new applications of drone development and artificial intelligence in a bid to strengthen Indonesia’s air defense capabilities.
Harjono said his visit to the Turkish defense company specializing in drones, command and control and artificial intelligence would hopefully strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Turkey.
According to its official website, Baykar Technology has been registered as the first producer of Turkey’s first indigenous drones.
Thanks to its self-funded R&D activities and 93% localization rate, Baykar, which currently employs over 4,500 workers, has delivered over 500 drones since 1986.
