Starlink, through its enterprise division Starlink Service Indonesia, has partnered with FiberStar, a leading telecommunications infrastructure provider in Indonesia, to provide reliable satellite internet access across the country.
FiberStar is a key player in the telecommunications infrastructure sector in Indonesia, focusing on nationwide fiber optic services since 2014.
“FiberStar has become one of the authorized Starlink resellers in Indonesia,” said Wisnu Wardhana, Head of FiberStar Customer Service Assurance Division, in a statement released on Monday, July 1, 2024.
“Fiber optic networks require satellite connectivity via Starlink, while satellites benefit from fiber optics for unlimited bandwidth and low latency,” he said. “The availability of both will promote Indonesia’s connectivity.”
This partnership demonstrates FiberStar’s commitment to bringing satellite Internet technology to the Indonesian people.
Through this collaboration, FiberStar and Starlink aim to provide comprehensive internet solutions to all Indonesians, including those in remote areas who deserve high-quality internet access.
Starlink products offered by FiberStar include Standard, Standard Actuated and Flat High Performance types, with internet speeds of up to 200 Mbps per terminal.
FiberStar offers device damage warranties, 24/7 customer support, nationwide service availability, integration options with SD-WAN and security appliances, and delivery and installation services to facilitate the user experience.
Earlier, on May 15, 2024, Starlink partnered with Telkomsat, a subsidiary of Telkom, to offer competitive Starlink-based commercial services equivalent to the commercial packages available on the Starlink website.
