The international marine and offshore exhibition Indonesia Maritime and Offshore Expo (IMOX) 2024 is returning to Indonesia for the seventh time, which will take place from July 31 to August 2 at the Radisson Golf and Convention Center in Batam.
The event aims to be a platform for over 3,000 industry professionals to come together to explore new maritime, offshore, oil & gas and shipping opportunities in Indonesia. Visitors will have the opportunity to build business relationships, share information, find new partners and expand their network in Indonesia’s burgeoning maritime industry.
The opening ceremony of IMOX 2024 will be attended by Batam Indonesia Free Trade Zone Authority (BP Batam) Chairman Muhammad Rudy, Batam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Batam) Chairman Jadi Rajagukguk and Fireworks Trade Media Group CEO Kenny Yong. Representatives from the Immigration and Customs Bureau will also be in attendance to provide valuable information to participants and visitors.
The exhibition has 115 exhibitors and the number continues to grow. So far, it has seen the participation of 45 local companies and 70 foreign companies from various countries such as Singapore, China, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea and Canada.
The event will include conferences, seminars and workshops. The first day will focus on inclusive innovation in Indonesia’s marine development, while the second day will focus on Indonesia’s marine technology. The final day will feature a workshop with Pertamina Marine Training Center and Offshore Technology Institute.
Batam was once again chosen to host IMOX 2024 due to its strategic location in the Straits of Malacca, a busy international trade area. Additionally, Batam is the largest shipbuilding center in Indonesia, with approximately 130 of Indonesia’s 250 shipyards, more than half of which are located in Batam.
IMOX 2024 is an opportunity for shipbuilders to expand their market share and network, and gain information on the latest technologies, which is essential for Indonesian shipyards to remain globally competitive.
