VinFast is offering the VF e34 in Indonesia in only one configuration: the company has a single motor on the front axle that produces 110 kW and 242 Nm of torque, enabling the compact electric SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under nine seconds and reach a top speed of 130 km/h.
To make it more cost-effective, VinFast has adopted a 41.9 kWh LFP battery pack for the VF e34. Using a fast charger, it can charge from 10% to 70% SoC in just 27 minutes. The company didn’t reveal the full charge time, but said the EV can travel 318.6 km on a full charge.
VinFast has equipped the VF e34 with features like LED headlamps, DRLs, taillamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control system, etc. In terms of safety, the car offers six airbags, a 360-degree camera system, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot detection, open door warning, and more.
Normally, VinFast offers the VF e34 for IDR 408,200,000 (EUR 23,144), but it goes up to IDR 314,000,000 (EUR 17,807) if customers opt for the available Battery as a Service (BaaS) option. As part of a promotion for the ongoing Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the company is lowering the starting price to IDR 273,000,000 (EUR 15,482) until July 28, but only for the first 1,000 units.
VinFast will offer a 10-year vehicle warranty and unlimited mileage battery warranty to customers who purchase the VF e34 at the regular price. For customers who choose BaaS, the company will provide free battery maintenance and replacement when the battery capacity falls below 70%.
VinFast is building a factory in Indonesia with an annual production capacity of 50,000 units, scheduled to start production in the fourth quarter of 2025 (October-December 2025). The company plans to produce the VF3, VF5, VF6 and VF7 there for domestic sale, but local production of the e34 is uncertain.
