Baxter Health is excited to welcome Jacob Carter, MD, to our medical staff. Dr. Carter is an accomplished internal medicine physician who has joined Baxter Health’s First In Service Hospitalists practice group. A native of Arkansas, Dr. Carter earned his bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and then his medical doctorate from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Dr. Carter recently completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Nashville. “We are excited to have Dr. Carter join our esteemed team of hospital physicians at Baxter Health. We are proud to have such a dedicated and accomplished physician join our team. Dr. Carter will be a great asset to the Baxter Health family and the communities we serve,” said Brian Barnett, vice president of physician operations/business development. In addition to his passion for patient care, Dr. Carter enjoys fishing, exploring the Ozark Mountains, and spending quality time with his friends, family, and dogs. Dr. Carter is excited to be involved in the community here in Mountain Home.
