Linn County Public Health is pleased to announce the opening of a new mobile clinic that will allow us to provide a variety of services throughout the county, including vaccinations, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing, and community outreach.
“The new mobile clinic is a great way for our staff to reach local residents,” said Linn County Public Health Director Dr. Pramod Dwivedi. “Our clinic staff has been working hard to bring the mobile clinic to the community, and it’s great to see this vehicle being used and making a difference.”
The mobile clinic is equipped with an examination room, wheelchair lift, restrooms, refrigerated storage for vaccinations and medications, and supply storage. All of the equipment on board the vehicle allows Linn County Public Health staff to serve local residents in public locations such as parks, schools and churches. Linn County Public Health works with partner agencies to serve local residents through the mobile clinic.
Residents should recognize when they see a mobile clinic in their community that it is Linn County Public Health or a community partner providing services to individuals. Depending on the type of event being offered, residents may be able to go in person to receive services or may be required to pre-register for the event.
The mobile health clinic was made possible through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding provided by the Linn County Board of Supervisors.
