DHL Global Forwarding, the DHL Group’s freight specialist, has appointed Nicholas Bonsosartono as the new President of DHL Global Forwarding Indonesia. Based in Jakarta, Bonsosartono will report to Thomas Teever, CEO, Southeast Asia and South Pacific, DHL Global Forwarding.
In this new role, Mr. Bonsosartono will drive growth in the Indonesian market, improve operational efficiency and provide superior service to customers.

His extensive experience in various aspects of the logistics industry, including air and ocean freight forwarding, inland transportation, customs brokerage and contract logistics, makes him the ideal fit for this leadership position,” said Thomas Teever, CEO, DHL Global Forwarding Southeast Asia and South Pacific.
Bonsosartono joined DHL Global Forwarding Indonesia as Head of Air Cargo in May 2023. Prior to that, he served as Head of Product Management for Indonesia and the Philippines at AP Moller-Maersk, where he designed and managed a comprehensive portfolio of commercial products and services.
Mr. Bonsosartono also brings valuable expertise gained from previous roles in which he was responsible for the procurement of goods and services including health, safety, security, environment, warehousing, trucking and customs services. Additionally, he has extensive information technology experience as an IT Manager for a logistics company earlier in his career.

DHL Global Forwarding Indonesia has expanded its operations and enhanced its service offerings to meet the changing needs of its customers. In March 2024, the company opened its first EV logistics hub in Batam, Indonesia, contributing to the development of the country’s integrated EV supply chain. It is also at the forefront of electric last-mile delivery in Jakarta, being the first freight forwarder to deploy electric vans in the city. Recently, DHL Global Forwarding Indonesia was also certified by Great Place to Work®, achieving an outstanding score of over 90%.
