DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Doylestown Health Urgent Care, located at 4259 West Swamp Road, has achieved Urgent Care Association (UCA) accreditation, the highest level of honor for an urgent care center. UCA accreditation demonstrates the organization’s overriding commitment to safety, quality and scope of service.
UCA accreditation standards include meeting standards on governance, human resources, patient care processes, quality improvement, physical environment, health records management, and patient privacy/rights/responsibilities. These standards represent a set of practices that collectively support patient service and organizational performance. Accreditation is awarded every three years.
“This accreditation demonstrates Doylestown Health’s ongoing commitment to medical excellence,” said Shawn Reinhart, M.D., chief medical officer for Doylestown Health. “We always seek opportunities to measure ourselves against the highest standards possible and are proud to receive accreditation from the Urgent Care Association. This accreditation highlights Doylestown Health Urgent Care’s level of care in the urgent care market.”

Urgent Care is a convenient, efficient option for non-emergency medical conditions, such as unexpected cuts, burns, sprains and fractures that don’t require a trip to the emergency room but can’t wait for a primary care appointment. Staffed by Doylestown Health-certified providers, Doylestown Health Urgent Care accepts unscheduled walk-in patients needing x-rays, stitches, minor prescriptions, procedures and other urgent care.
“Doylestown Health is proud to bridge the gap between primary care and the emergency room, meeting a basic medical need while providing added convenience and cost savings to our patients,” Dr. Reinhardt said.
By achieving UCA accreditation, Doylestown Health Urgent Care demonstrates its commitment to providing the highest level of quality care to its patients.
