JAKARTA, July 8 (Bernama) – Indonesia has vehemently denounced Israel’s attack on the Al-Jaouni school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
The attack, which took place on Saturday, was condemned by the Indonesian Foreign Ministry on Monday as a flagrant violation of international law.
“Israel continues to commit atrocities and violate international law, causing a steady increase in civilian casualties,” the ministry said on its official social media account on Monday.
The ministry also questioned the response of the United Nations Security Council and countries supporting Israel, calling for decisive action against what it described as ongoing atrocities.
Palestinian officials report that at least 16 people were killed and dozens injured in an Israeli airstrike on a UNRWA-run school in Gaza, which was sheltering thousands of displaced people in the camp.
