BandungIndonesia strongly condemned the repeated atrocities and massacres committed by Israel against Palestinians, which occurred again on Saturday in the Khan Younis refugee camp in southern Gaza.
“These actions are further proof of Israel’s continuing violations of international law,” Indonesia’s foreign ministry said in a statement on Sunday, Antara news agency reported.
Indonesia called on the international community to take concrete steps to hold Israel accountable for its actions, which have caused untold suffering for the Palestinian people, and stressed that international law should apply to all countries without exception.
Israeli forces recently attacked a refugee camp in Al Mawashi in Khan Yunis governorate, killing at least 90 Palestinians and wounding 300.
Local media described the attack as a “massacre” by Israel, which had designated al-Mawasi a “safe zone”.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) immediately condemned the US for its involvement in the attack and called on the international community to intervene immediately to stop Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people.
“The United States continues to violate all international legitimacy resolutions by continuing to provide financial and military support to the Israeli occupation forces, which commit a bloody genocide against our people every day,” Palestinian presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said.
Israel’s onslaught on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023 has left more than 38,300 Palestinians, mostly women and children, dead and more than 88,000 injured.
Despite continued international condemnation and the UN Security Council’s demand for an immediate ceasefire, Israel has not stopped hostilities in the Palestinian territories. – Bernama, Antara
