Media.Monks, an S4 Capital managed brand, has opened an office in Indonesia, adding a strategic location and local talent to its Asia Pacific operations.
As Indonesia continues to be a growth market for the brand, the Indonesia office will service both local and regional client businesses.
Sir Martin Sorrell, Chairman of S4 Capital, said: “With 300 million consumers and over 167 million active social media users, we are delighted to add this important market, the third largest in Asia, as the 34th country to our single-brand Media.Monks network. Indonesia’s GDP is predicted to be among the top five globally by 2050. Brands across the country are looking for partners to help them create progressive digital consumer connections to drive their businesses and we are pleased to be part of it.”
Media.Monks also partnered with a new client, ABC, one of Indonesia’s largest food brand leaders, who appointed Media.Monks as the designated creative agency for ABC Soy and Chilli, becoming the founding client of the new office.
Munas van Boonstra, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Media.Monks said: “We believe the integrated brand, digital, data and social capabilities Media.Monks brings can have an impact in the market. We are proud to launch the newest member of the global Monks family to help brands succeed in Indonesia and help Indonesian brands expand in Asia and globally.”
The first hires for the new office include Business Director Masayu Difa. (photograph)He has over 15 years of client leadership experience in Indonesia with local and international brands, having previously held senior client roles at Lion & Lion, Grey, McCann and Geometry.
Difa added, “I am thrilled to join Media.Monks, a forward-thinking agency that is pointing the way in how to deliver digital solutions through innovation and leading the effort in Indonesia. In our new office, we will leverage local insights combined with global expertise that will resonate with Indonesian consumers and drive business growth for our clients. I look forward to working with our talented team and esteemed clients like Kraft Heinz ABC to make a big impact in this dynamic market.”
Media.Monks continues to expand its team to meet client demand: the Indonesia office becomes its ninth office in the Asia Pacific region, expanding its footprint in Southeast Asian offices in Singapore and Malaysia.
