Moonfolks has been awarded the annual branding mandate for Suzuki Indonesia through a multi-agency tender. The mandate includes a defined scope to support the marketing efforts of Suzuki brands in Indonesia, but also an engagement on integrated campaigns for specific brands and new product launches from time to time.
Suzuki brands in Indonesia include Jimny, All New Ertiga Hybrid, New XL 7 Hybrid, Grand Vitara, Baleno, S-Presso, New Ignis, APV, New Carry Pick-up among others.
Indonesia is the largest automotive industry in ASEAN. According to the Indonesian Automotive Industries Association (GAIKINDO), Indonesia produced 1,395,717 units of four-wheeled vehicles during the period January to December 2023. Other data from GAIKINDO suggests that 96.3% of all cars produced in Indonesia were from Japanese manufacturers (2019), which is a testament to Suzuki’s importance within the industry.
Harold Donnel Tampubolon, Marketing Director and 4W Business Strategy at PT Indomobil Suzuki Sales, said: “Owning a car in Indonesia is about more than functional needs. It is about aspiration, self-fulfilment and lifestyle. As Suzuki innovates for a more sustainable future, we needed an agency partner that could bring our values to life. In Moonfolks, we found a partner that has both the strategic and executive skills to understand the core of the Suzuki brand and bring it to life.”
Anish Daryani, Founder, CEO and Chairman of Moonfolks added, “We wanted to have a strong automotive brand in our portfolio and we found the answer with Suzuki. As an iconic brand with a strong pipeline of innovative launches in the coming months, we believe we can give Suzuki the moonshot it truly deserves. We are excited and committed to translating the brand’s content and experience into commerce and working with Bapak Harold and his team to create a stronger brand love for car buyers in Indonesia.”
