KANSAS CITY, MO — KSHB 41 is making new friends and spreading a powerful message in the Kansas City, Missouri community.
our new program, KSHB 41 Positive Classroom Connections began Tuesday at Pitcher Elementary School near the Truman Sports Complex.
Our broadcast and behind-the-scenes staff are out in the Kansas City Public School District encouraging students to stay in school and stay positive.
On Tuesday morning, KSHB 41 Reporter Leslie Delasbourg and Content Coordinator Dominic Evans met with 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in the library.
During the visit, students watched videos about various jobs at KSHB 41.
Ms. Evans and Ms. Delasbourg encouraged the students to stay in school and do their best.
KSHB reporter Abby Dodge and digital detail reporter Todd Palmer met with another group of students from Pitcher College.
Palmer and Dodge challenged the students to develop a plan to be positive at home, school, and community.
Some students talked about helping their parents with household chores and buying something nice for their mothers.
In the spring of 2023, KSHB 41 staff will return to Pitcher Elementary School to talk to students about positive acts of kindness.
