Musk’s donation will go to a group called America PAC, which will focus on helping voters in battleground states register to vote, and voting early and by mail to help re-elect Trump.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk has said he plans to donate around $45 million per month to a new super political action committee (super PAC) backing Donald Trump’s election campaign, US media reports.
Musk’s donation will go to a group called America PAC, which will be focused on supporting Trump by encouraging people in battleground states to register to vote, vote early and by mail ahead of the November general election, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Musk formally endorsed Trump’s candidacy for the US presidency on Saturday after the former president survived a shooting at a political rally in Pennsylvania.
“I fully support President Trump and wish him a speedy recovery,” Musk wrote on X, the social media platform he bought in 2022 when it was known as Twitter.
Musk reportedly plans to start donating next month.

Musk, the world’s richest man with an estimated net worth of $250 billion, has been deepening his friendship with Trump ahead of the 2024 US presidential election.
The two met in person in March at a donor breakfast at billionaire Nelson Peltz’s Florida mansion.
In the United States, individual campaign contributions are capped at $3,300 per person, but a loophole in the U.S. campaign finance system allows large donors to give to funds known as political action committees (PACs) that support candidates.
America PAC has hired hundreds of employees to work toward Trump’s election, including registering voters, speaking with voters in battleground states and encouraging them to vote by mail, according to people familiar with the matter.
President Trump had previously criticized mail-in and absentee voting, but walked back his criticism after it became clear that Democrats had an advantage among mail-in voters.
