Donald Trump has told Christians that they “don’t have to vote anymore” after the election, saying “this will make things completely better.”
President Trump spoke at Turning Point Action’s Believers Summit 2024 event in West Palm Beach, Florida on Friday night.
“In four years, you won’t have to vote anymore. You know what? The problem will be solved. You won’t have to vote anymore,” Trump said. “You’ve got to go vote. In four years, you won’t have to vote anymore. The problem will be solved. You won’t have to vote anymore.”
He also said he “accepted” an “apology” from the FBI after the bureau confirmed he had been shot and killed in an assassination attempt earlier this month.
Earlier, the FBI confirmed on Friday that Trump was shot in the ear by a gunman at a rally in Pennsylvania 13 days ago.
“The bullet that struck former President Trump in the ear was either a whole bullet or a fragmented bullet fired from a deceased individual’s rifle,” the FBI said in a statement.

Trump says outdoor rallies will continue after assassination attempt
In a Truth Social post on Saturday morning, Trump said he would continue holding outdoor rallies following the July 13 assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“I will continue with my outdoor rallies. The Secret Service has agreed to significantly increase their activities,” the former president wrote. “They are fully capable of doing so. No one will ever be allowed to stop or disrupt free speech or rallies!!!”
